Sad News
We found out this last saturday while in TN that Pete's dad Steve just passed away from cancer. We found out Thanksgiving that his dad had tumors in his small intestine and then bout 2 weeks ago we found out it was cancerous and that the tumors had spread through to his brain too. It was very surprising to us and happened a lot quicker than anyone had anticipated. But luckily we know his dad is happy now on the other side and that he did not have to suffer through the treatments of radiation for the next few months. His mom is keeping busy and doing well as well as pete and his sibilings. We will be leaving tom. night to leave to sacramento and the funeral will be the 28th and then we will make a 12 hr drive to st. george UT. and up to a burial site where pete's dad's familiy all got buried. We will then go up on the 31st for the burial in the afternoon then go up to SLC for new years and hang out with friends and family for a few days then we drive back to sacramento and fly out the 4th! It is definitely a much busier Christmas than we were planning.. but what more could we ask for for Christmas than to be with our family and the ones we love!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!

FInally a CHAMPIONSHIP!!
k so out of all the many leagues i've been in the last year and a half.. i've always gotten to the championship game.. but it seems more times than not always got runner up and never the actual championship! BUT... Thursday night for our flag football game the Jacobs Jaguars (thats us..) beat Auto Trader 27-21!! it was a very close game but it was so exciting!!! This team had previously had many troubles with fighting and getting too hot headed and such.. and they actually were the only team we had lost to in the regular season.. we were 7-1.. and there was acctually a fight that broke out at the end of our game! it was scary.. pete even had someone swing at him and they barely caught his lip! but it was intense! there was one guy on our team ready to take soemone out for doing it too! luckily it stayed somewhat under control after a few min and they just cut the game short.. Since i was captain i had a talk with them on Tuesday before the championship and told them how bad i really wanted to play them allll 4 quarters without tempers getting in the way.. and they held their end of the bargain and there were no quarells with the refs or the other team! it was sooo comforting! haha But both pete and I had great games.. We didnt get to do much on offense, but we both made major plays on deffense.. I had 2 interceptions in the 4th quarter when they were making runs down the field and pete defended the long hail mary pass at the end.. that the guy almost caught for the win... but pete batted the ball down for the win!!! It was soooo exciting!!! and we got a sweet trophy with a football on top! But anyways after a wonderful night we went home and packed to come on our vacation to Pigeon Forge with our friends Jeff Neff and Rachel Fairclough! More info and pictures to come!!:) GO JAGS!!!

CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE!!!
K so school is over for the semester.. i got pretty good grades! 3 As and 2 B s.. not too shabby i might say! The semester wasn't too draining.. it was a lot of work but it was sorta enjoyable! i mean i got to put on a softball tournament and play in it for class! as well as visit the GA dome, Cobb Energy Center, Turner Field and World Congress Center for that same class too! I did the Senior Day with elderly which was fun as i got to make balloon animals with them at my station, i learned kickboxing, aerobics, and step aerobics. I got to make a media guide for one of my friends on the womens basketball team. And got to sit through a crazy semester of world lit with a theorist/psychoanalysis for a teacher and read books like The Inferno, a bit of the Odyssey, and watch a bunch of documentaries i would have never watched.. my two favorite were "the King of Kong" and "God grew tired of us" i really enjoyed those and i was not expecting that at all!! But overall it was fun semester as i got to also go to Athens for a conference and really got to become better friends with my classmates!
Christmas time has also come as i have gotten pretty much all my shopping done.. i mean i just couldn't help but jump on that as soon as possible cause it gave me an excuse to shop! i have never thought of myself as a shopaholic or anything.. but i really don't mind shopping!! i just dont' have money... tends to be a problem sometimes! Anyways I have already started my christmas music listening all the time and got to make chocolate covered pretzels with my fellow husbandless friend (just for the day/weekend) Michelle! We also watched P.S I love you . .might as well since the boys were gone.. pete doesn't like Hillary Swank either..
Flag football has not finished yet.. weather has made it a lil crazy so who knows when we'll finish the tournament.. it might just all be on monday.. and hopefully we got to the superbowl and win it all!! :)
But i hope everyone else is enjoying this wonderful Christmas season as much as I am! I have gotten to read/hear a bunch of touching stories already that show others Christmas miracles and how Heavenly Father is always there to help you and answer your prayers! They are really touching and of course the scriptures always share the most special stories of them all!

I'll try and post some pictures later.. my computer is bein funny..

watch out stacy!! haha just kidding
Tanks Gibing!
Well it's been nice having some days off school to hang out with friends and family! Me and pete went to my parents for our annual Pie night wed. with Dallin and Michelle where we have bunch of friends come over and bring deserts and pie and eat and enjoy our pie before you get too stuffed from thanksgiving! Then on thursday we got a typical Lawrenceville 2nd ward Turkey bowl game goin and it was some good times- minus pete working and couldn't come and i got a kink in my neck.. but it is always good to see the little kids getting involved with football and learning how to play. Pete did get to play football friday morning after he go off work and we got a good game goin on some astro turf at northview highschool and played the length of the field which is always fun! But both of us had some GREAT thanks giving dinners on thursday- at the fire station all the guys brought stuff in to eat and they had a big ol feast- so he didn't miss out too much by not bein home for thanksgiving!
But i'm greatful for my little fireman and for all the hardwork he does for our little family! We have been having so much fun lately! But i love him with all my heart. We are also so greatful for all of our great friends and family!!!
Our co-ed football league is going great- especially since we are undefeated!!! I also got to play softball last weekend for my Facility and Event management class- we put together a softball tournament to raise money for the Jerry Worthin Childrens charity to give money to kids at christmas time- and we raised over $1,000 for them!!! and another $1,000 for our sports management club! it was sweet! and we got to play- surprisingly our team was pretty good for being random people from my class- but we still lost to these GREAT teams who could hit homeruns everytime if they wanted to... I also finished my other big project for rec. and leisure class with a Senior Day with elderly seniors over 60 yrs old.. and we got to put on little activies for them to keep them active and it was a big success- they had a great time!! Now next week is just finals time!! wish me luck!

i'm locked in my house!

So pete has my keys in his car and pete is at work for the next two days... so therefore i should be doing homework, but i'm just going to blog instead!!!
So Nov. is always one of my favorite months cause the beautiful weather, football season, and my birthday!! whoo hoo! So for my 22nd bday i was actually away in athens from that monday till wed. afternoon at a Conference for GRPA- the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association. It was very cool cause it was all paid for by Kennesaw State, and my teacher was speaking at one of the classes, annd.. i got a ton of free stuff along with some good networking experiences! We had a good time! There were 7 KSU students total and we make a good impression wherever we

I celebrated by birthday the sunday before i left for athens and it was just soo much fun! Dallin and Michelle Thomas came with us for dinner with the fam, and then Nate, Markus, Cory, and Mary came over and made a huge poster with all sorts of funny do-dads about me being "pregnant"- which im not... but it is just a fun joke they like to play. They had all sorts of baby names with storks and such and pictures of me and pete and fun drawings which made me laugh. But they put a lot of hard work into and i'm greatful!! Pete got me a sweet new digital camera which i love and i'm still playing around with- he's the best!! My mom got me a cute little sewing box kit and a book on how to sew skirts- This is going to be one of my new hobbies! :) Granny made me some homemade snowflakes she crocheted.. and they are really cute too!! But overall it was a really fun birthday and it all ended with a good game of cards! But thank you to all who wished me a happy birthday! I have some great friends and i'm very greatful!!!
It was also my little sister Kristi's birthday this last week and she is the good ol Sweet 16!! boys watch out!! she takes after her sister!! :)
Last night me and Pete got to go to my old roommate/teammate Amber's Senior night at University of West GA!! it made me sorta sad cause i could have been out there with her!! And there team is still not very good... haha which is also a bummer... but she played GREAT and so did the other senior also another one of my old Teammates/roommates Lauren Schmidt! But it was fun being with amber and her family again!!

So we also had our first co-ed flag football game on monday and we won! miraculously... but we won!!! i got to be QB for a little bit, but it was no bueno... haha i was not mentally prepared for the game cause i thought i'd have a vball game... but it got moved back to this next monday...

But anyways this week has been crazy with elections and such... i had to vote a week early because i would be in athens- and i had to wait 3 1/2 hrs to vote!!! Pete voted on tuesday when it opened and he only waited for like an hour. .but we had to do our civic duties! And now we our 44th president is Barak Obama... as my friend nate said.. "if he's the one that makes the democrats and republicans work together... then it doesn't matter who it is!" which is true! lets hope it works!!! :)

"i'll make every last moment last as long as you're mine"

So We haven't posted in a while cause there hasn't been anything super exciting in our lives different than any other time... minus the fact that volleyball is going so much better and we are winning a little more since we have two setters and run a 6-2 and we have been playing much scrappier than before- it's been great!! Softball i have gotten back into a little slump after hitting quite well for two games or so.. but its hopefully behind me now:) Pete's basketball leagues are going ok.. he had quite a frustrating game where the ref tried to kick him out for asking "where was the foul?" and no swear words, no extreme yelling, invading personal space or anything! And he told him he's kicked out and it was still the first half of the game! It all got fixed and the other ref said he couldn't kick him out.. so pete got to go back in.. but still ended up fouling out-and their team had a chance to win but didn't make an easy lay up at the end.. so a little frustrating!
The two MOST exciting things we did get to do this last week was
1) See the UGA Bulldogs Football team beat the Tennesee Vols in Athens!

it was a blast! we rode up with our friends Matt and Laura Adams, then hung out with one petes friends from the fire station and their condo when they were tailgating. We got some tickets from a friend in high school that goes there and we ended up being able to go and sit really close to the band in the corner of the end zone- it was sweet! Even though we got alcohol spilled on us twice- we had some really fun people around us to watch the game with too- and we won! whoo hoo!
2) We went to see the play Wicked at the wonderful Fox theater which was A-MAAAZZZINNNGGG!!! Oh how i love the music and the story of Wicked! I think i had

But we had a great time with our good friends Mark and Noelle Brondau as we ate at RouSans- a sushi place in Buckhead which was also good and had a good price too! then following the play got ice cream at McDonalds!
3) Whit Tutt=My best friend ever since i was in 3rd grade, is leaving me for 18 monts to serve the Lord on a mission in Porto Rico! I am so excited for her but will miss her! She gave her farewell talks on sunday which me and pete attended and tomorrow me and whit and our good friend nate are going out for brunch before she leaves this weekend to head out to utah for the MTC! But we sure have had so many fun times together which make great pictures and stories! But i love her so much and couldn't be more excited for this decision in her life!!

till next time!

good food, lots of laughs
Well life has been great for the Forsyth family. Classes are going pretty well for me at Kennesaw and i am really enjoying my new professor i have for 2 classes. I have told a lot of you about him and how many hook ups he has and the many places he has traveled for free! We get to go back stage and see how the facilities are run at a few places downtown too which is exciting like the aquarium hopefully, Phillips, Georgia Dome, World Congress Center, and Turner Field. We are also setting up a co-ed softball tournament for a fundraiser for the class/major and also for charity which will be really fun! For another class we also have to put on this Senior Olympics type deal or even a carnival or Great race type deal with people over 60 which will be lots of fun! Another one of my classes we are learning how to teach aerobics and learning all sorts of fun moves. And my World Lit class is still quite strange, but sorta easy so far. Pete has been busy working, for his part time job as an EMT he got to get paid while watching 2 highschool football games this last weekend which was great. We also got to go to another firemans wedding down in Mcdonough then followed up with watching some UFC fighting at a friend in the wards house. Some might think it is disgraceful to watch these fights.. but i find quite a bit of entertainment out of them by making fun of them the whole time! haha AND supposedly in Joseph F. Smiths biography he was definately a boxer lover and no one was allowed to enter his office on Wed nights when boxing comes on... so obviously it isn't too bad!? well if anything it was a good excuse for good food and lots of laughs which i'm always down for!! Well anyways hope everyone has a good week! Our volleyball league is starting up on Monday and we have a new league on Wed. for softball that is harder.. and we lost our first 2 games... but we can beat these teams! No more losing!

"Why I didn't make the Olympics"
Mom you wont' like this one. Dallin and Michelle showed us this and we thought it was great!

Local Area Connection!!!

Woooo hooo i got a computer again!!!! Me and pete have been quite sad without the easy access a computer has. We even used a phone book one time to look up a dairy queen (and the phonebook was wrong!) But I finally just decided to get one off ebay cause the guy from craigslist didn't reply fast enough. But with shipping and everything it ended up being $291... not bad! we didn't want to spend over 300 so we reached our goal. And hopefully in the near future we will be buying a nice macbook from my cousin. But i am quite pleased with this computer and nothing was wrong with it! the only thing that was bad switching to a new computer is i thought i had my pictures and some things backed up from my last computer... but when i tried to restore it to this new one.... of course it didn't work. But oh well i do have most of my pictures that i need on facebook. I also have to get all my music back on but at least it can be filtered a little better to the music i really want instead of a bunch of music i never ever listened to!
Anyways school has started for the elementary school and ASP has the new kindergartners who are quite cute... but it is a little annoying due to the fact many are spoiled only children who still act like they are babys. One girl has even pooped her pants EVERY single day of this week! and she hasn't had clean undies in her book bag since that first day! We are so fed up with how these parents didn't get this girl a little more prepared for school. I totally understand when it happens every now and then as an accident.... but every day! today she even had an accident right after she was IN THE BATHROOM! seriously it stinks.... literally! but she is still the cutest girl ever even though she might be a lil stinky.
To respond from last post.. Pete's team did win the championship game last wednesday and they creamed the other team as well! It was great! And our softball tournament will be starting the 25th as we will also be starting a NEW softball season at a different park on wed. nights. So we will be double timing it! But i love being involved in sports regularly again! I feel like i've been a part of a team as me and pete watch the olympics every night and almost every morning now since i haven't had classes just yet! This equals just lots of watching TV (which i am doing while typing this! go USA!) I just love the olympics and all the great stories of the athletes!

trek, welcome to the us, new laser show
Well we haven't done too many exciting things lately since the last blog, but we did get to go up to Dalton GA to meet up with the Youth of our stake (Atlanta) and Marietta East stake for a pioneer trek where the kids pushed handcarts and had their own families and companies to take care of while the adults were their grandparents who weren't supposed to do much of the work, but walk. The kids ended up hiking in the mountains of GA for 21 miles over 2 days and the last day was testimony meeting and clean up day. Pete and I met up with them on the second day and hiked about 5 miles to look for them and then finally a truck caught up with us to give them their snack for the day and then we drove around in the back of this truck going super fast round these tight turns in the mountains overlooking deep drop offs... we said our "i love yous" just in case we fell out! But we finally got the right directions- due to the fact we were not told about one of the turns we needed to take! Finally caught up with them and then hiked the next five miles with them. I enjoyed it quite a bit as I was just in need of the exercise! Pete was there to be a "floating EMT" to make sure no one gets dehydrated and mend wounds. The only thing he had to do the whole time was tape up some girls knee after she biffed it when her foot got caug
ht on the rope.

It was mine and Pete's first official "camp out" together and we got to use our tent again! but we did not sleep well due to the super hard ground that killed my back! But it was an experience anyways. After we got home we got to enjoy an evening with Whit and her family as Yvonne Tutt (her mom) finally got her citizenship in the US!!! whooo hooo! so we had a big ol party for her and whit and nate trust got her some fun festive things on sale from 4th of July to give to her.
This last weekend after a full weeks worth of work, softball, and basketball we got to play with some friends! After a sweltering hott game of tennis... THAT I WON!!! (1st time ever!) we went to Frontera and Stone Mountain with Dallin, Michelle, Jeff Neff, and Rach Fairclough and also met up with Nate and the King sisters at the laser show. The new laser show itself is quite dissapointing... i like some of the new things like how they put a few more songs in, but i don't like how they took some of the old fun sing a longs out... AND worst of all they switched the version of "devil went down to GA" to some rock singer and I really did not approve. They also added this thing that lasted forever with the chic fil a cows that did impersonations of all these movies like pirates 3, gone with the wind, and some others i don't remember and it was cheesy and made you chuckle.. but overall sorta lame. And to end it all they have i think it was charlotte church (good singer right!?) sing the national anthem but they used a version with a 2nd verse she made up to go along with todays society and it just went on and on and on! But it's stone mountain.. and they still have the Dixie song and the civil war stuff with the sword breaking part.. so once that goes... idk how excited i'll be to go to the show anymore!

Anyways Saturday Pete worked and i had nothing to do but... to read the new twilight book Breaking Dawn... yeah and i finished it that night. So i read from 10:30 in the morning with a few breaks till 1:00 that night and finished all 750 pages! it was just superb!!! I was very pleased with the book and the closure and the new exciting things that happened and it just made me so happy!!

Then sunday after church i got to see Lindsay and Alysa who i haven't seen in a long time and whitney was there while pete and nate got to play their ping pong games like they always do- it is quite competitive!
Work this week- got to watch space chimps- sorta lame (i liked walle better) just got done with Mountasia with put putt, arcade games, go karts and bumper boats- but they weren't working :( Pete has also gotten another fire lately in which he got to punch out a window to let some smoke escape and one where lighting hit a house and he had to move out a crispy motorcycle and cabinets out before they took out the roof and drywall like usual.
Sports- we are tied for 1st for softball and kickin trash lately- Stacy has aided our teams winning twice now and done a great job when we need her as a sub (and i got to play 1st like old times!!) Pete is going to be in the championship game tonight in the hammond park league and i really hope he wins cause they always do so good in the season then loose the last game... so hopefully that's not the case this time!
Well that's it! only two more days of nannying for me before the kids start school up again and i a back to ASP (after school program)!

being let go, passing on, 6 feet under... crashed!!!
k so nothing bad has happened to anyone, it's just my computer is dead!!! well i am told it's just the hard drive (yeah..JUST) but my dad has an extra one and maybe we can get it swithched out pretty easily and it'll work again... hopefully.. and if not.. my cousin said i could buy his macbook at the end of august before he goes into training for the military... so yeah i just need something that works! for now i'm just using the computers where i nanny... it works!
But we had a great reunion for my granny and mom's family at ft yargo. It was filled with laying out by the pool with stacy brooke and pete (it was nice for brooke to be back in town) and a lil volleyball action, of course some half rubber, and card games. pete didnt realize there was a game lazier than baseball.. and came to realize that half rubber deffiately blew it out of the water! haha it's tradition and makes me think of Pop- he was great at it... or any game really! But it was nice to visit with cousins i hadn't seen in a long time that are my age, and that pete could meet them! It was overall lots of fun and ended with going to the braves game- where we lost horribly.. but i ran into sooooo many people i knew it was so fun!!! as well as being in the company of my cousins/aunts/uncle.
Pete is starting his busy month of july with lots of work days so he could get off for the month of june for all the vacation days! I have also started back up with nannying everyday with kids that still need to learn how to think of other people rather than just themselves and say please and thank you for once! They are starting to learn i require those few things and get the hang of it- i just hope it sticks!
For my reading now.. i have finished wicked and i enjoyed it... it relates to todays world with an athiest, supporting animal rights, and idk i thought it was interesting... a little risque at parts.. but i just skimmed it and kept going.. it wasn't my favorite book ever, but i enjoyed it. Now i am reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, by Jonathan Safron Foer- it is different.. but about a boy who's dad died from 9/11 and he has a key he found in his dad's closet and searching NY for what it opens... but he's a really interesting boy so it's entertaining.
well until next time!

We are Family!

To start off.. Happy one year Pete! well a few weeks ago- June 16th!! we have started our new family and have survived the first year pretty smoothly- thanks to pete for being so great (and patient with his crazy wife) love you for forever!!!!
So we had a wonderful time with alll the forsyth family at lake tahoe a couple weeks ago! We flew in on the 16th (our anniversary) and james picked us up and we stopped by pete's grandmas for a while to chat then made our way to the one place pete wanted to go.. In n O

Then Tuesday i spent my day with my sister in law mercy shopping for the loads of food for the week up in Reno- also had a great lunch at Red Robin. While we were gone the boys and the kids were checkin out the dune buggies and dirt bikes that John brought. Supposedly it was a really rocky ride where their trails were and they had to go through a lil river.. as they all came home soaking wet! Then of course that night we spent time in the hot tub with mike and mercy and got to play some Hand and foot .
Wed. I got to take my turn on the dune buggies and acctually learned how to drive the manual one! it was pretty sweet.. pete was a lil nervous i think but he was patient with me for the 100th time i stalled...

Thursday everyone went to the place we went to on wed... some got in the lake some rode the bikes and stuff.. me and pete laid out a bit and attempted to get into the freeeeezing dam water (i am not swearing i swear!) but our feet are the only things that made it in! We left early though to go to lake tahoe.. cause we hadn't barely SEEEN it yet!!! but we just got babysitting duty instead with my wonderful nieces and

Friday was the most eventful for me... idk bout pete.. but me and my two sister in laws Mercy and Galynn went on a lovely bike ride into tahoe to go shopping... i got a great deal on a lil hoodie that had a small hole in it... so it was marked down 75%!=steal!! We cruised through a few different shops from antiques, sports shops (board shops), kids clothes, sweet hippie shops, all sorts and also ate lunch at this yummy baglery that over looked the lake. Then... we got to go on these sweet canoes! it was a demo day where you pay 15 bucks to ride whatever canoes you want and for about 20 min or so or however long you want! first we had big long ones for speeeeeed (shown in the picture before we had to put the camera up) then me and mercy rode a tandom one and had to work on our teamwork while galynn just zoomed on by with her lil squatty one she had that time. Then finally our favorites were the peddle canoes where you paddle with your feet back n forth and steer with just a lil nob that goes left and right! it was sooo easy and a nice leg work out! After a really hard core climb with our bikes (for me and mercy atleast- galynn is a pro) back up to the cabin and it was me and pete's turn for cooking that night as everyone had a turn in the week... we made some chicken enchiladas, hot wing dip, and had some fruit! it was yummy! then that night hand and foot and spa once more!

I believe i got some of friday and saturday mixed up, but either way it was fun :i think we went to the lake one last time but it seems as if i got my days mixed up in there somewhere... but we went to the lake and it was freezing and laid out beside the lake, i jumped in once but it was way to cold, i felt the hypothermia coming on.. so i jumped out.. the boys stayed in for a while and they were getting the kids to jump of the pier and it was quite funny. But it was a good time! With hand and foot once more!
Sunday we got all packed up and ready to go to sacramento for a few things and pete reminisced through some stuff and was quite disappointed when he could not find his old Mase cassette tape but got some old Iverson stuff and track cleats and what-nots. Then made our long drive down to Oceanside that took bout 7 hrs or so. John drove his BIG ol truck with the trailer pullin the dune buggies and dirt bikes. we watched some good ol movies like: men at work, summer school, orange county, and school of rock. i also got to see North shore while at Johns and it made me

Monday we went to the beach in oceanside and the waves were so fun! they weren't tooooo big, but they did throw us around a lil bit and the water was warm for a change! We went out to eat that night at some place called Pizza on Mars or something and met up with one of Pete's old roomies Dylan and met his new wife. the pizza was also yummy! there was a chicken pizza that instead of bbq or something it had ranch! how perfect for me!!!
Tuesday was wedding day for Dallin and Michelle! whooo hooo!!!! they got sealed in the LA temple which was much bigger than ATL.. they looked amazing and so happy! we had a good time with Dallins brother Daren and his wife Shannon who we had met a few months before the wedding. After many hours of waiting and eating lunch... we had to quickly make our way over to dinner cause LA traffic and it was a lil while away.. but i did get to go shopping before hand and got some sweet accessories! loves it! The reception was nice with yummy food! they showed some of their wedding pictures and of course dancing at the end. After about 30 min of dancing pete was done... so we decided to try and find my friend Macy Halladay in brea CA which was sorta close to where we were... but macy wouldn't answer her phone allll day! we were really goin out on a limb and just went! I was thinking bout who i could call to find out where she lived and then i was like well we could just pray and try and find her! and right after i was thinkin that she finally texted me back the exit... right as we were getting close!!!! it couldn't have happened better! It was so nice being with her again- especially before she leaves to NY for her mission in a month.

Wednesday (i really hate how that word is spelled- usually i never write it!) Was a real fun day as we slept in late then met up with john to go to this water park in Irvine called Wild Rivers. It was so fun! it was just 4 adults running from ride to ride and seeing how high we could go on this one and how fast we could go on that one... and so forth.. but it was a blast!!! To end the nigh

Our trip ended Thursday but before we could leave... we had james go get some In n Out while we waited in line to check our bags and got the fulfillment one last time!
We made it back safely and got to hang out with my family for that weekend and see my uncle who i don't see often and spent a lot of time playing our 2 newest games for the wii... Dr Mario and Top Spin (tennis) it was fun... but my brain was turning to mush and i could see Dr mario in the back of my eyelids as i was going to sleep! Now it's my sides turn for the family reunion at Fort Yargo for the 4th of July! Happy independence day to everyone! Let freedom ring!!!!

Hot summer fun

So it has been blazing her in Hotlanta, but that hasn't kept the Forsyth's from having some fun in the sun!
We went to the beach a gain in Jacksonville for Brooke and Justins wedding at the end of May(congrats by the way again!) It was perfect weather- perfect couple- and we got to lay out a bit on the windy beach that had no waves, but we still enjoyed ourselves! And it was nice to have the whole family in town again!
Pete and I went to a braves game and we invited Steve and Leslie Collins, and Matt and Laura Adams- we had a good ol time riding marta! but the braves lost that one. I also got to go to the braves game on Memorial day with markus and some friends from conyers/covington for memorial day while pete was at work- this time.. braves were victorious- even though it was super hott! and i got burnt!

Pete and I also got to go to Six Flags on friday with the newlyweds Matt and Laura and it was once again.. 95 degrees outside, and i was not feelin too good with the heat.. but we got all the big rides done- and did not have to wait in line because we went on a weekday- and it was fun! but we left sorta early and got home and passed out!
Volleyball is close to an end- we are in the tournament right now and playing the first place team tonight and if we win that game we could possibly play two more games after that tonight too!!! Go Warriors!
As for softball it is starting up again but it's at another place in roswell by the stake center down there and i think it's gonna be a good league- we won our first game- it took us a while to warm up and we also are missing some of our best players from last season- but the new players we got will be doing just fine!! they are fitting in quite well into ESAB!
Pete's bball leagues are started up again.. i do'nt think there was ever much of a break to begin with, but they are winning most of their games of course!
Posts will be coming soon about our upcoming California vacation!! whoo hoo!!!

a month already?!

wow i just realized it's been a while!!! I have been waiting for Pete to write down some stuff for me to put on here because he had some cool firefighter/emt experiences... like the call of the mexican dude that got hit on interstate 75 as he was trying to get a cone or something for construction.. and he made it the 1st two lanes and third lane got hit by a car... so sad! and then a cool experience with taking a very old indian man to see the Dali Lama to get healed by him.. but pete said it was prolly to get permission to be "let go"- idk but pete didn't get to see the Dali Lama.. but was in the same building! haha

With me softball and school are over! woot woot! got a lot better grades this semester than expected! i even got a B in accounting!!! i definitely thought i was getting a C... but 4 As and 2 Bs overall! Then softball we lost the championship game.. sad day... but its alright we're starting another league up and it'll have more competition! Volleyball has been going pretty good as well... we have a few more additions than last year which is exciting and a i am sure this summer we'll have to get some good Beach volleyball games going at GT which is always fun! Well i have just 3 more weeks till my ASP gets over and before i start nannying..but i'm up at 2 am writing on my blog cause i can!!! haha work doesn't start till 2.. so i'm gonna take advantage of that!

Well life's been great.. i just really need to find a good pink dress for brookes' wedding coming up soon!! But it sure is hard to find a nice, cheap, able to make modest, pink dress around here! but i'll come up with something! Pete and I did get to go to the beach with Steve and (sexy pregnant) Leslie Collins two weekends ago which was a blast!we all enjoyed some boogie boarding and layin out- the weather was PERFECT!! And it was a great get away before finals!!! We all had our funny tan lines from the weekend as well from getting fried, but it was so worth it! i miss the beach- and hawaii!!

game time!
So life's been pretty busy and fun these last two weeks
- ESAB (softball team) still undefeated!! woot wooot!!! we had a double header this last week.. and i've been trying to take my mom's advise and swing the bat later to hit into right field.. i think i struck out cause of it a last week.. but this week it was much better! hit one all the way to right center- but stinkin outfielder got to it... he was lucky! I almost had some pop-flies in left center myself before they just rolled out of my glove... it was so disappointing cause i barely get the ball hit to me in the first place.. its like one touch per game it seems.. but what can ya do!? i am just tryin my best!
- Pete and I got to go to Dave and Busters on friday for pete's friend Gabe from Henry County (aka Fatboy is what he goes by.. nice i know!) but we surprised him there- he had no idea we were coming and we played of course the basketball game and then this sweet simulation shoot down airplanes game! and guess who killed the other 3 or 4 boys!?! Yeah girl power!! This was just warm up to the next nights Laser Tag... well.. i wish i would have done as good. I got killed so many times that first game of laser tag... but then by the second game i got used to it and had more strategy and hid better without making myself vulnerable- it was lots of fun!! and Pete got to come! He had gotten a half day switch with someone at the fire station (originally cause we were going to go to the Paramore concert... but it got postponed due to the Tornado damage to the tabernacle... so sad)
- I got to babysit the girls stacy used to nanny last weekend too.. it was fun seeing the girls... but i was not excited to see they had two cats! So i officially know i have a for real allergy to cats... we even used to have a cat growing up (Pinky.. i named HIM when i was 4.. and he was all black) but he was an outdoor cat.. then i didn't really pet cats much till i was in college and then that's when i realized my eyeballs don't like them..and they make me sneeze and wheeze and cough like no other!
- Pete has been working really hard these last few months workin his part-time job too.. tryin to save up for this summer and still need to go get a new mattress!!

Google: "Lisa Cheesman"
K i don't know about anyone else but i always find it so interesting what comes up when i google my name (well maiden name cause i haven't done anything with my new one!). But i had no idea this was online :
http://saratoga5kfunrun.com/2007_Results.aspx
Brooke and I ran that - the 1st 5k i've ever done!
and one time i found the modest fashion show we did for Young Womens- i got interviewed from Womens' Daily magazine and she asked me about how hard it was to find clothes and what not. It was cool.
lately i've just been going from one paper on Funding Recreational facilities and centers now i'm supposed to be studying for my Sports Law test, but i'm online and watching some MARCH MADNESS!!! I got North Carolina going all the way, but i have quite a few teams that didn't pull through for me for my bracket... oh well.. i did really well last year- just not lookin so hott right now for this year.
Softball team is still going strong- i struggled this last week batting... it keeps going right to the short stop and they keep catching it! they are good solid hits i just can't make it go anywhere else!!! it was quite frustrating, but what can ya do?!
Pete's been playing in a couple championship games with his rec. league but it has been quite disappointing because his team will win the regular season, but loose in the championship game and get 2nd every time! This has happened pretty much for the last year, you see how that could get frustrating!!? But one of his best and favorite teammates is moving next friday to Utah for a new job and his fiance... good ol Tony Bennett will no longer be in GA, and we will greatly miss him!!!! We have been hanging out with him as much as possible before he leaves!
I am trying to be a better cook... and tonight i just made some DELICIOUS salmon! I made 2 different kinds, one was a basic fillet with a little bit of lemon juice and olive oil, on it then put some season all after it was done. The next one i made was a mixture of stuff from a recipe online : marinate in lemon juice (and pineapple juice but i didn't have it) then but some brown sugar, cumin, salt, lemon rind, and cinnamon on the top.. Talk about scrumptious! So i'm workin on my skills... usually i just try and use the recipes out of our family recipe book that mom always uses.. and you know that's always goin to be good!!! Next i want to make the brunswick stew... i've been cravin it!!!
Hope y'all have a great Easter Weekend!

Valentines, rock stars, cleats, tissues, DANCE PARTY
Well hopefully everyone had a great valentines day a few weeks ago! Me and pete got some great professional massages from a place our friend works at.. it was only 39 bucks for an hour for your first visit! it was great!! i deffinately needed it, and feel like i could still use one once a week or so! they are so addicting! Pete also gave me a really comfy fleece pullover and i got him a monster truck video game for our Wii. We love that thing! We are in the process of beating it on hard, and pete is also using this cheat where if you beat every song with 5 stars on all the levels then you can get like a free guitar and other stuff.... it's really challenging! But all in all.. we are definitely rock stars! We also did get to go see some rock stars: Cartel- a local band from Conyers but it was really fun. We went on our little outing with markus and cade- but it made me really miss johnny boy (who's on his mission). I have also started up the softball league which was a lot of fun! we won our first game by like 10 runs... i scored 2 of those!! whoo hooo... it's like riding a bike ya know! But i still have a lot of room for improvement! But the next day after the softball game, i wasn't just really sore from using all these muscles that haven't been used in a long time, I have also come down with some sort of cold! boooo.. i hate being sick.. i blame it on these stinkin kids that i'm around all week! haha but it's all good..we still have a blast! we're acctually having a
DANCE PARTAY!!! i'm so excited.. one of the ladies we work with who is older and not so much into loud noise and music is out of town, and so me and the other girl i work with who is like 24... we're having a dance party! i'm so excited!!!! I actually have to go get ready for work right now! i'll update soon hopefully with pictures from the dance party!!! have a great week!

Yeah.... My Bad!
So I know i got this blog and then never touched it... I promise I will do better! But the new year has started and has been moving FAST! After school and work started back up (at Kennesaw and then the Elementary School for the After School Program) Life just gets a move on real quick! A few fun and exciting things have happened though:
- We went to the Hawks vs Nuggets to see Pete's fav. player Allen Iverson play. It was a l ot of fun due to the fact we were in good seats, and the Hawks won ( then soon got creamed by them a week or so later).
- Played Whirlly ball with a big group of friends for Dallin and Michelle's bday. Whirlly Ball included bumper cars, lacrosse like hand scoops, and two goals with a circle in the middle to score, and 13 min games. It was a blast! How could it not be with a bunch of competitive people?! But we have had a lot of fun especially with Dallin and Michelle lately playing all sorts of games- especially a card game called hand and foot!
- Pete is still involved in many basketeball leagues. Some of the teams are better than others, but they all have fun! And that's Pete's only way he likes to get exercise.
- I am currently enjoying my tennis class for school and improving my game. Trying to get more consistent. I am also taking a volleyball class which is helping me refresh on some of my old skills I have not had to do for real since West GA days a year and a half ago. The volleyball league at Hammond Park will be starting up again soon which is always a blast- but it might interfere with the softball co-ed league I told Michelle I would do on I think mondays. But we'll see!
- We especially are missing my brother John as he is gone to the MTC and in Peru now! I love hearing his emails and letters cause he is so grown up in the church! it makes me so happy! He loves the gospel and the elders he is working with. and I will take credit for helping him know his espanol since we did have a class together in high school (and we would yell at each other in spanish for fun round the house!) He will soon be leaving the MTC and going into the field in Bolivia.
- This last weekend we got to go to a Cartel concert which pete was very excited about. We went with my cousins Cade and markus and had lots of laughs! Especially since the band before Cartel was totally wasted and now i would consider them one of the most entertaining bands i have ever seen! ( and trust me i have seen MANY bands!)
- We also went to a fun Super Bowl party- even though the Patriots lost, I am still really excited for the Giants (and Greg)
- In the church it was sort of sad to hear about how Pres. Hinckley died but at the same time I could not be happier for him to be reunited with his wife! He had such a great life and presidency in this church and is really the only prophet I actually remember. Also dealing with church I have a new calling as the CTR 6 teacher- which i am much more comfortable with rather than doing singing time. But i love it and we have fun in our class- hopefully i can teach them something they will remember!
- Another sad event is Brooke has moved out to Utah. But it is also very exciting because she gets to be with Justin- who is her match in life! and i could never be happier! but she is living out there and hopefully getting this job with the Family History Center out there. Stacy drove out with her this week to keep her company as well as to spend time with her friends out in UT. But i am really going to miss Brooke!
